Alright, time for another news article. Have you ever wondered why the Resident Evil games are called Biohazard in Japan and Resident Evil in the US? Well, today, you shall find out. The answer comes from Chris Kramer the senior director of communications and community at Capcom US. Kramer states that Capcom was initially going to name it Biohazard when it came to American Shores in 1994, but it came to be next to impossible. He goes on and says.. In that contest, an unnamed designer in Capcom Digital Studios came up with the name Resident Evil, which the best of the marketing crew liked because the game was set in a house. Kramer commented on this… And…there you go! Now you know why it has a different name in the different regions. www.qj.net/What-s-in-a-name-The-Biohazard-Resident-Evil-name-change-revealed/pg/49/aid/130194
