ummm yea guess what? its not illegal. downloading music is not illegal. It is only illegal if you re-sell the music you download. But yeah there is a slight risk of a virus on the computer. and uhhh..some of that i didnt find on limewire. there are alot of free mp3 sites out there such as espew. It's not illegal to download it or those sites wouldnt exist

It is illegal. Haven't you seen all the commercials about it?

well, in theory, according to those commercials, police can track any computer that downloads music illegally. And they say they've gotten people in trouble before for it. I have downloaded over 100 songs thru limewire and I have yet to see a cop at my doorstep. It may be illegal for people uploading the copyrighted songs up but i dont see it as illegal to download those songs. If it was, limewire and frostwire wouldve been shut down a long time ago

I download stuff from PureVolume. But there, the artists choose whether or not you can. So it's perfectly legal.

Actually, he has a point. It's only illegal if you use it for making a profit off of it. Plus, wouldn't they take Limewire down if it was illegal? O.o I use Frostwire, which is from the same makers of Limewire, cept it connects faster, and is actually technically, more legal. Plus, we don't have the money to go buy a CD with one good song on it.

You'd think so... All I know is that my mother's work's technical people said it's illegal. And I had never heard of Frostwire until a few weeks ago... My cousin told me about it. I was like "Whoa. There's another one?!"
