I don't flame christians. I have no problem with Christians. Just the ones who.... 1) try to force Jesus Christ down my throat 2) are intent on yelling at me and telling me I'm to go to Hell when I die *cough Kayla Tracy* cough* 3) are intent on flaming non christians because their way isnt the "One True Way"
and ppl like that

No, it's more than creepy. Take a look at politics and society and look to see how much of it Christianity has poured into it. Alot of non-christians like myself will refuse to say the pledge of allegiance because it has christianity in it. I can barely turn around without seeing something that has to do with christianity. It's everywhere.

I know. But this country was founded on Christian beliefs. So it kind of has an excuse... It's not like we persecute non Christians.

NO IT WASNT! Most of the founders of this country were deists! NOT christian. freethought.mbdojo.com/foundingfathers.htmlChristianity has been filtering into the government which had no intention of having it do so when it was made. Most of the problems ppl ave with christianity today is becuz you almost HAVE to use it in your everyday life. PPL used to get into trouble for refusing to say the pledge becuz it was against their religion. Children scarcely have a choice nowadays about picking a religion. Almost all, like me, pretty much grew up in a church and just accepted christianity becuz my parents told me it was "the truth" Only reason I converted was because I always doubted that the christian "truth" wasnt the only one. ANd I never told anyone from my church that I converted becuz I'd rather not hear what the ppl of the viking heard about the Norse Gods being "Demons" They prolly still dont know after all this time. ok im off topic. It's gotten so active in everyones and the countries every day life, alot of people wont accept you if they know you're not christian. I mean, there are people that will just yell at you, tell you ur going to hell when u die and try to force Jesus Christ down ur freaking throat the second they hear ur not christian. I mean, Christianity is fine for people to believe but not to basically FORCE others to as well. If they dont believe in it, they dont believe in it. You cannot change that. I mean one lady I talked to online. We were in a conference and the kid mentioned that he was Agnostic and the lady started goin off on him like "Oh dear. My child you need to repent and pray to Jesus Christ to forgive your horrible sins this instant. Hurry while you can still be forgiven!" YOU DONT DO THAT TO SOMEONE!! you just dont. and ya know, christianity is the ONLY religion that does that. All of the other religions just let ya believe in what ya believe. CHristianity is the only one that wants to convert everyone into believing what they believe. And they dont think outside the box. Why is being good and following Jesus the ONLY TRUE WAY? Why cant there be others? Why? And why must you worship a deity? Why must they be worshipped? I dont worship anything in my religion. My gods dont require you to worship them. We just basically pray to them and make relationships with them, just like having a friend. But why must u worship your God? Isn't the worshipping and loving mostly fear of being sent to Hell when you die?

Ah. Wow. Never thought I could get mad at you...
Not all Christians are like that. There are jackasses in every religion, and that can't be changed. Yes, people go overboard. And yes, that is sad and rather angering. But don't go around implying that all of them force their beliefs on others. Both of my parents are Christian, but they keep their beliefs to themselves. I myself used to be, and I didn't go around parading it. In fact, most people were shocked when/if they found out. (And I'm not sure exactly what that means...)
I'm going to stop here, because I don't want any more crap stemming out from it.
And this is exactly why I avoid the religion sections on Yahoo! Answers, by the way.

I only say what I observe. My religion is very respectful of other religions, but I just don't think people going around trying to make someone think diffrently and switch religions is right
